One very good replications and almost perfected version of the Barrel hashbrown recipe is one that includes the following ingredients. They are 2 pounds of frozen hashbrown, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper or more for taste, a teaspoon of salt and more if desired, 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese, 1/2 of margarine or better, a pint of sour cream, 1/2 cup of chopped onion, and one can of cream of chicken soup. These amounts can be varied depending on how you want the dish to turn out.

Preparation of the imitation Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole is rather simple as well once the ingredients have been gathered. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The pan for baking the dish should be greased beforehand. Mix all of the ingredients that were gathered beforehand into a bowl for the casserole.
